Caption

Sailed from 'Frisco (San Francisco) on the Monterey, sister ship of the Lurline, directly to Manila in 14 days.- 22/11/45. Ship capacity is 2500 but we had on this particular voyage less than 300 - remember the 4 on 8 off guard duty? Remember Savelina who passed out green during enforced guard duty carried out by Capt. Green? Remember the ARC (American Red Cross) girls especially Miss Jenelle Burns from Ga. (Georgia) who taught you how to play bridge? But don't you think that this voyage was smoother than that of the Casa Grande where you played pesos- poker?
